At the GSMA, Sebastian was the creator of the We Care Campaign implemented across 16 Latam countries promoting industry collaboration behind the UN Sustainable Development Goals. He is as well one of the creators of the Latin American Congress on Telecommunications (CLT) that run between 2013-2019 (now CLTD).
He led alliances and engagement with G20/W20, UN Global Compact, IDB, CAF Development Bank, UN ECLAC, UNICEF, ITU, OAS, WEF (Internet For All). He also led Ministerial and Mobile CEO roundtables as well as many technical and regulatory working groups within GSMA in Latam.
Most recently, he has been coordinating and leading the IDB’s BEST network and the “Comercio Digital Sin Fronteras” Program, as well as DigiEcon Latam events for ALAI.
Sebastian deals with issues through a multidisciplinary approach and can work both at high and technical levels. The SmC+ team follows that approach.
At GSMA, he was responsible of leading the successful Mobile Broadband Campaign that made HSPA and LTE prevail over WiMax. He was the spokesperson of the GSMA in Latin America, run events, convened, built and delivered the regional industry narrative.
Today, Sebastian is an influencer in specialized industry events and social media where he is followed by industry leaders on key regional circles.
